Capacity Rotating Magazine
Multifeeder Technology, Inc. designs and manufactures high speed friction
feeders and systems to feed, count, insert or collate flat products. The
"turret infeed magazine" provides a unique labor and space saving
concept that allows one operator to load approximately 40 feet of products,
compared to a normal 30 inches of product that are to be fed by the friction
feeder.
The operator takes a sleeve of products in a carton that have been
provided by the supplier, removes the end panel and places the entire carton
of product into the cell retainer of the turret. The loading takes only a few
seconds, and is repeated until the turret is filled with product. The turret
automatically rotates and positions a stack of product above the APL
(Automatic Product Loader) which is the transfer section from the turret to
the friction feeder. When all of the products have been fed from the first
cell, the turret rotates and the operation is automatically repeated until the
turret is empty or an operator reloads the cells.
The Model HCRM can be reloaded without stopping which allows the friction
feeder system to continue to feed products, saving valuable production time.
